In the ever-evolving world of Pokémon GO, trainers are constantly seeking new ways to enhance their gaming experience. The introduction of Adventure Effects, a groundbreaking feature, marks a significant milestone in this quest. As part of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event in February 2024, Niantic unveiled two distinct Adventure Effects: Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, each tied to the legendary Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia, respectively.
Roar of Time Adventure Effect: Exclusive to Origin Forme Dialga, this effect offers the unique ability to pause the timers for Incense, Lucky Eggs, Star Pieces, and Daily Adventure Incense. For a duration of six minutes, trainers can activate this effect at the cost of 5,000 Stardust and five Dialga Candy. The duration can be extended in increments of six minutes up to two hours, with a maximum extension up to 24 hours, albeit at a steep cost of 1,200,000 Stardust and 1,200 Dialga Candy. In battle, Roar of Time boasts a formidable power of 150 in Trainer Battles and 160 in Gyms and Raids.
Spacial Rend Adventure Effect: This effect, exclusive to Origin Forme Palkia, enhances the gameplay by increasing the distance for encountering wild Pokémon and adding an aesthetic effect to the map. Activating Spacial Rend for ten minutes requires 5,000 Stardust and five Palkia Candy, with the option to extend its duration similarly to Roar of Time but at different costs and increments. Spacial Rend also serves as a powerful move in battle, with a power of 95 in Trainer Battles and 160 in Gyms and Raids.
To utilize these Adventure Effects, trainers must first ensure they possess the corresponding Pokémon with the specific move. These moves cannot be learned through any TM and are exclusively available to Pokémon caught with them. It’s crucial to note that only one Adventure Effect can be active at a time, adding a strategic layer to their use.
Acquiring Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia: These legendary Pokémon made their debut during the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh events, offering trainers a limited window to catch them equipped with their Adventure Effects. The chances of encountering these Pokémon with the special moves depend on the version of the Go Tour: Sinnoh event selected by the trainer, with Dialga linked to the Diamond version and Palkia to the Pearl version.
